Before considering features, we look at what someone is trying to do—and what gets in their way. A clear purpose gives every design decision a reason.

Make the essentials feel simple

Controls should make sense. Everyday functions should be easy to find. We aim to reduce the effort between picking up a product and putting it to use.

Give every detail a job

Shape, materials, weight, and layout all affect the experience. We look for a balance between how a product looks, how it feels, and how it works.

Choose innovation with a purpose

New technology matters when it offers a useful improvement. Sometimes that means adding a capability. Sometimes it means removing an unnecessary step.
